Stewart Township is a township in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Pittsburgh Metro Area. The population was 743 at the 2000 census. Stonerville and Kaufmann are the only villages in this very rural township, which is served by the Uniontown Area School District. Two U.S.National Historic Landmarks are also in Stewart Township. They are Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Both were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and are available for touring. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 51.1 square miles (132.4 km²), of which, 50.6 square miles (131.2 km²) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²) of it (0.92%) is water.
